So often, I hear from people who have worked out for years off and on who consistently have the same results. They have tried different workout programs or different classes at the gym and never see the scale go down. In any fitness magazine, fitness expert you talk to, nutritionist, doctor, etc…they will all tell you the same thing….you are what you eat! Weight loss is 70% nutrition and 30% fitness. Plain and simple! It doesn’t matter how much you workout, how often you workout, if you are eating crap then you will get CRAP results! Nobody regrets working out but you will regret what eat afterwards if it’s something you know is bad for you. I have been there many times myself.
If you fit into this category then try eating clean for one month solid while working out and see what a difference it makes. If you like sweets then find healthier alternatives for your sweet tooth cravings. There are so many creative ideas on Pinterest. There are magazines (Shape, Women’s Health, Cleaning Eating, etc.) with tons of healthy recipes and snack ideas. Start a food journal and clean out the fridge and pantry. You are more likely to eat healthier if you keep healthier food choices in your kitchen. Ask friends for some healthy snack ideas and ask them to hold you accountable. My Fitness Pal is a great tool for calculating calories and logging in your food.
Pay attention to what you are putting into your body! It truly does matter and make a difference in your weight loss goals.
