Day 3 and 4 of the Ultimate Reset

Day 3

Today was my first day with no meat….the true test!  I am a BIG, HUGE, GINORMOUS meat lover and have some type of meat for dinner every single night.  I have dreaded this day!  I started out feeling pretty good with a slight headache and body aches.  I am still sleeping great at night which is nice.  I don’t think I have slept this good since before I had Mason.

I loved everything on the menu yesterday and today.  I attempted to make sushi but couldn’t quite roll it up neatly so I ate it with a spoon.  I always have leftovers because I fill up pretty fast. I have learned to prepare meals ahead of time since day 3.  I got a little behind schedule on dinner time –  well a lot behind actually… 2 hours behind and I felt like crap!  I inhaled my food because I was so hungry and that made things even worse.  So I prepare dinner around lunch time that way when I am putting the little one to bed it is already cooked and ready to go.

Day 4

Today is the day that I feel no side effects!  No headaches, no achy body, not tired, no cravings….honestly, feels like I’m not on a vegan diet!  I had a ton of energy today and went running for 20 minutes.  Well, more like a light jog.  I’ve walked every day but just felt like jogging today.  I could have gone longer but didn’t want to over do it.

Another thing I noticed is that my allergies aren’t as bad as they usually are.  You are advised not to take any multi vitamins or any over the counter medications.  Typically, I take claritin every few days because I have horrible allergies and when they come on I am literally sneezing ALL DAY LONG!  I had a few sneezing attacks here and there but nothing compared to how it usually is.

I’m not a huge fan of the Alkalinize powder but it’s not horrible.  Kind of tastes like grass mixed with water.  I drink this every day after lunch.  It’s only 2 to 3 ounces so it’s really not that bad.  It helps to bring your body back into a healthy pH balance for improved immunity.  I also take supplements and put mineralization and oxygenize in my water every day.  Speaking of water, I drink about 150 ounces of water a day!
