The time has come!

So we arrived in Albany, NY yesterday to beautiful sunny 60 degree weather.  Today we had a mini blizzard and the high tonight is 12 degrees.  Welcome to Upstate NY!  After a short 2 hour drive, we are now in Syracuse.  My favorite part about this town is the MALL!  It has 6 floors!!  Otherwise, there’s just a lot of over-passes.

I met my wonderful nurse Justine in Albany yesterday and miss her already! She has made the IVF process so easy and stress free.  I can not thank her enough!  I was absolutely amazed by the doctor’s office.  I’ve seen pictures but it does not do it justice.  Its the most relaxing, soothing, and calming doctor’s office I have ever been to.  I felt like I was walking into someone’s house and not a fertility clinic.  I am so glad I was referred here! CNY Fertility-google it.

We have our egg retrieval scheduled for Monday and we are doing the transfer either Thursday or Saturday.  Tonight we are taking it easy and heading out with family for dinner.  Then I will come back to the hotel and take my LAST shot!  Thank god!  My stomach is almost completely purple 😦  Tonight is the big HCG shot which will force ovulation 36 hours later.  This process has gone by so fast.  I never thought this was something we would be able to do and now it’s here and the journey has been amazing.  I have learned so much about the fertility world.  My husband and I have a stronger bond having gone through all this.  He has been so supportive and understanding of my emotions.  I am so lucky to be married to him.  I have met so many wonderful people and formed some great relationships that will last a lifetime.
